Amerigroup Expands Service Area in Virginia
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Wednesday, January 4, 2012) – Amerigroup Corporation (NYSE: AGP) announced today that it has been approved to expand its operations in Virginia as part of the Commonwealth’s geographic Medicaid expansion efforts.
As of January 1, 2012, the Company more than doubled its service area as part of the Roanoke/Alleghany expansion. Amerigroup Virginia will now serve members in 45 counties across the Commonwealth.

As of September 30, 2011, Amerigroup served approximately 40,000 members in Virginia.
