Amerigroup Georgia Expands Network with Phoebe Putney Health System

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Monday, November 19, 2012) – Amerigroup Corporation (NYSE: AGP) announced its Georgia health plan expanded its provider network with the addition of Phoebe Putney Health System, one of Georgia's largest regional medical centers, effective Dec. 1, 2012.

The expanded provider service area includes the following in Georgia: Baker, Ben Hill, Calhoun, Clay, Coffee, Colquitt, Crisp, Dooly, Decatur, Dougherty, Irwin, Lee, Macon, Miller, Mitchell, Pulaski, Quitman, Randolph, Schley, Stewart, Sumter, Terrell, Turner, Webster, Wilcox, and Worth.

With this expansion, the following providers were added to the Amerigroup Georgia network:

  1. Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital
  2. Dorminy Medical Center
  3. Phoebe Sumter Medical Center
  4. Phoebe Worth Medical Center
  5. Southwest Georgia Regional Medical Center
  6. Phoebe Physician Group
